TTMAX AI is an iPhone speech app made by Gus Communication Devices of Scottsdale, Arizona ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain words. If anything is unclear, contact us (details at the bottom).

The short version

We never sell your information.
We do not show ads and do not track you across other apps or websites.
We use your information only to make TTMAX AI work for you.
Most of your information stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account.

Information the app uses

What you say and what you hear. When listening is turned on, TTMAX AI uses the microphone to hear the person talking to you, so GusAI can suggest replies. Speech is turned into text to do this.

Your phrases, people and places. The phrases, buttons, pages, people cards (names, photos, phone numbers, email and addresses you add) and places you save in the app.

Location and time. If you allow it, TTMAX AI uses your location and the time of day to suggest phrases that fit where you are.

Camera and photos. If you allow it, the camera can show GusAI where you are, and you can add photos to buttons and people cards.

Calls, texts and FaceTime. When you use Call, Text or FaceTime in the app, TTMAX AI speaks your chosen phrases into the call and listens to the other person so GusAI can suggest replies. We do not record or keep your calls.

My Symbols photos. If you buy My Symbols, you send us a few photos of yourself so we can draw your personal symbols. These photos are used only to make your symbols.

Account and purchases. If you sign in (for example, with your TalkTablet cloud account), we keep your sign-in details. Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple; we do not see or store your card details.

How GusAI works

To suggest phrases, TTMAX AI sends what is needed for that moment (for example, what was just said to you, who you are with and where you are) to the artificial intelligence service that powers GusAI. That service uses it only to create your suggestions and is not allowed to use it to train its models or for advertising. A set of phrases is also saved on your iPhone so you can still talk when you are offline.

Where your information is kept

On your iPhone. Your vocabulary and settings.
In your iCloud. Backups sync through your own Apple iCloud account.
On our secure servers. Your account, the shared TTMAX symbol library, and My Symbols photos and pictures.

Who we share information with

Only the service providers that help us run TTMAX AI (cloud hosting, the GusAI artificial intelligence service, and Apple for purchases), and only what they need to do that job. We may also share information if the law requires it. We never sell it.

Administrators

An Administrator (for example, a family member or speech-language pathologist) can set up and manage TTMAX AI for the user. The Administrator can see and change the user's phrases, people and settings.

Children

TTMAX AI is not made for children under 13. If a person under 13 uses it, a parent or guardian must set it up and act as the Administrator.

Your choices

Turn the microphone, location, camera and contacts on or off at any time in iPhone Settings.
Delete phrases, people and photos in the app at any time.
Ask us to see, correct or delete your account and the information we hold. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.
Cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.

Keeping it safe

Information sent between the app and our servers is encrypted. Access to our servers is limited to the people who need it to support you.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
